About the Amy

If you want to know “about” me, I’m a mom to two beautiful little girls.  One born in February 2007, one born in June 2009.  They are the meaning to my life and the humor and beauty to my days.

I have been someone’s other half since December of 1999, although we made it an official marriage in August 2004.  Living proof that sometimes high school sweethearts do make it, we still make people gag by holding hands, staging public displays of affection, and not being able to get enough of each other.

I’m also a pet owner and my dog is insane.  The gerbil is pretty tame.  Oh, and I just hit thirty, but I don’t really care.

Why do I blog?  That’s easy.  You aren’t alone, and neither am I.  I’m the mom with the “great life.”  A wonderful husband, cute house, sweet children.  But my husband and I still argue sometimes, the house still occasionally throws out a disaster for us, the kids throw tantrums in public, the bills and stress and everything else seems overwhelming sometimes.  It happens to us all.  I’m here to let you know that.  And to hopefully make you smile or touch your heart along the way.
